Something not working, or an idea for Dubnative? Email support@dubnative.com. It helps to include the video's link, the language you dub into, and what you saw or heard.
Common problems
The DN button doesn't appear, or nothing happens
Reload the YouTube tab. If you just installed or updated Dubnative, tabs that were already open need a reload before it can run in them.
“No captions to translate”
Dubnative dubs from the video's captions. If the video has no captions at all, not even auto-generated ones (the CC button is missing or greyed out), it can't be dubbed yet.
The voice speaks the wrong language or accent
Choose one of the AI voices in the Dubnative panel. If you prefer a voice from your computer, install one for your language in your system settings (on macOS: System Settings › Accessibility › Spoken Content › System Voice › Manage Voices), then restart Chrome so it sees the new voice.
The AI voice switched to a different voice
You've used today's AI voice allowance, so Dubnative continues with a voice installed on your computer. The voice menu shows when the AI voices are back. The allowance resets every day at 00:00 UTC.
The video pauses for a moment
With the “Finish sentences” timing, Dubnative briefly holds the video so a long sentence can finish, and when a video starts it waits a few seconds while the first sentences are translated. Choose “Follow the video” in the panel's Timing menu if you'd rather the video never waits for a sentence to finish.
The original audio is too loud or too quiet
Use the original audio slider in the Dubnative panel. It sets how loud the original stays while the dub speaks.
